Gilt Groupe sites offer access to luxury designers and fashion brands at up to 70% off of retail!

I thought I would share this website with you all, in case some of you haven't stumbled upon it yourselves. I initially found out about this site through a contact of mine and the possibility of the company going public.

I have since ordered some beautiful kitchenware's, shoes, and apparel through this site. An excerpt from the website best explains what this site is, "Gilt Groupe provides access, by invitation only, to Men’s, Women’s and Children’s coveted fashion and luxury brands at prices up to 70% off retail. Each sale lasts 36 hours and features hand selected styles from a single designer."

One of my contacts invited me to this website and I really love checking it out from time to time to see what products they are currently selling. The styles and designers vary from day to day, so it's fun to check and see what is new.

I would like to invite all my fellow Fashion Asia members, so here is the invite to the Gilt Groupe group of websites:

My contact at the Gilt Groupe would also like some feedback, so if you order any merchandise or use the site, please feel free to leave feedback here so I can provide it to my contact.

Thanks and Enjoy!

Why a increasing number of companies, when going abroad and entering to new market, outsource their international development and expertise rather than going with their own department?

How long will consumers in Asia, Japan in particular, accept to pay significant premiums for imported fashion brands (often 30 to 60% above US/Europe retail prices)? Do we need a new business model?

Fashion Asia - Website updates, 1000 members, and twitter

Fashion Asia has been growing so quickly and it has been wonderful to hear of members creating profitable relationships, finding distributors for their products they wish to move through Asia, members getting advice on how to enter the Asian fashion markets, members asking for help and getting help on setting up their fashion booths in countries they are new too, it has been amazing!

In efforts to continue growing and adding value to the group, we have done some new things here on the website and on linkedin. First of all, I would like to say that we have reached 1000 users as of last week!

This has been acheived in such a short time, all while keeping the membership exclusive and true to the values of the current members. We have also added a twitter account to keep you in the know of the latest changes to Fashion Asia and news.

Follow our tweets here:

We have also added Japanese translation to our website for our Japanese members and to get the word out to our Japanese fashion professionals. If you would like to help in our effort to translate our website, please feel free to contact us through our contact form.

We hope for additional translations of the site in the near future, so check back soon for new updates to our site and functionality!
